CMCC’s mission is to investigate and model the climate system and its interactions with society to provide reliable, rigorous, and timely scientific results, which will in turn stimulate sustainable growth, protect the environment, and develop science driven adaptation and mitigation policies in a changing climate. Within CLINT, CMCC will work on Extreme Events detection, with a special focus on tropical cyclones and heatwaves in strong collaboration with the AI part of the project. CMCC will also participate to most other parts of the project, to support the study of causation, attribution of EEs, and the preparation of Climate Services.
